Wallace and Gromit Musician Jailed for Decades of Child Abuse

David Pickthall, a former teacher and MBE recipient, has been sentenced to 12 years for child sex offences against 19 victims over 40 years.

David Pickthall, 66, admitted to 29 child sex offences committed between 1980 and 2021 in Essex and London.
Pickthall, known for his work on Wallace and Gromit, was described by the judge as a 'predatory and manipulative paedophile.'
The offences included indecent assault, voyeurism, and making indecent images, with victims primarily being former students.
Detective Constable Chelsie Stamford indicated that the 19 known victims might be 'the tip of the iceberg.'
Pickthall expressed 'profound regret' in court, but victims described lasting psychological impacts from his abuse.
