Wall Street Analyst Fired Over Antisemitic Incident in Viral Video

Kurush Mistry, formerly of Freepoint Commodities, was dismissed following a widely circulated video of him covering Israeli hostage posters and making derogatory remarks to a Jewish American man.

Kurush Mistry, a Wall Street analyst, was fired from his job at Freepoint Commodities following a viral video of him covering Israeli hostage posters with signs accusing Israel of being an 'apartheid state' and telling a Jewish American man to 'go back to your country'.
Mistry's partner, Shailja Gupta, who was also present during the incident, referred to Israelis as 'rapists'.
The incident took place at the intersection of 68th Street and Riverside Boulevard in New York City.
The video, which has been viewed more than 6.5 million times, was first identified by journalist Andy Ngo and later confirmed by two sources in the Financial Times.
This incident comes amidst a reported 316 percent increase in antisemitic incidents of assault, vandalism and harassment in the U.S. since the conflict between Israel and Hamas began.
