Overview

• The incident was reported at about 11:30am on Saturday, 16 August, on Crib Goch, a ridge on the route to Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) in Eryri National Park.
• North Wales Police and the Llanberis Mountain Rescue Team responded, and the casualty was recovered from the mountain by helicopter.
• The 36-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene following the recovery.

• Formal identification has not yet taken place, while next of kin have been informed and the coroner has been notified.
