Kevin 'Boopie' Miller tied a career-high with 25 points and Hunter Sallis added 24 as Wake Forest defeated Towson 71-61 in the consolation bracket of the Charleston Classic.
Miller scored 17 of his points in the second half, and Sallis added four rebounds and three assists to his stat sheet.
Tyler Tejada led Towson with 17 points on 7-for-16 shooting, while Messiah Jones added 12 points and nine rebounds.
The game was tightly contested, with both teams trading leads throughout. However, Wake Forest took over in the final minutes, thanks to Miller's 8-0 run.
Wake Forest will now play LSU in the fifth-place game, while Towson will face North Texas in the seventh-place game on Sunday.
