• About 100 people gathered Friday evening to launch a weekend of rainbow flags across Wahrenholz.
• Several streets displayed four to five flags on private masts as households joined the show of support.
• Farmer Helmut Evers and the loose network Bündnis Bauern gegen Rechts coordinated the effort, and a village shop sold nearly all of 50 flags.
• Police say four flags were stolen from one family's mast since the start of the year, with the banners reportedly torn off despite cable ties.
• The display is scheduled to come down on Sunday, and investigators have not named any suspects.
