Wahab Riaz Appointed as Pakistan Cricket Chief Selector

Riaz's first task will be to select the squad for the upcoming series in Australia and New Zealand.

Wahab Riaz, a former international fast bowler, has been appointed as the head of the selection committee for the Pakistan Cricket Board.
Riaz's first assignment will be to select the test squad for the upcoming three-match series in Australia, followed by five T20s in New Zealand.
Riaz replaces Inzamam-ul-Haq, who stepped down amid allegations of a conflict of interest during the Cricket World Cup.
Several changes have been made in the Pakistan team since it failed to progress beyond the league stage at the Cricket World Cup, including the resignation of Captain Babar Azam.
Team director Mickey Arthur and head coach Grant Bradburn have been asked to report to the National Cricket Academy in Lahore and will not accompany the team on the tours of Australia and New Zealand.
