• Robert Kevin McCullough, 39, who has an extensive criminal history, fled custody at about 4:45pm Friday after being remanded on serious sexual offence charges at Perth Central Law Courts.
• WA Police have mounted an active search across Perth, visiting known associates and directing specialist units from the state command centre.
• Investigators are examining how he got away and believe deceit and trickery were used rather than violence.
• Police describe him as 175cm, medium build, blue eyes, brown hair and a fair complexion, last seen in a dark T-shirt and long dark pants.
• The public is urged not to approach him and to call 131 444, with police warning that helping an escapee is a criminal offence.
