Overview
- Vox Burgos has formally submitted a proposal to Burgos city council to host a 300-meter tall bull monument by the Academia Española de Tauromaquia.
- At over 300 meters, the sculpture would surpass the Torre de Cristal as Spain’s tallest structure and require more than 200,000 square meters on the city’s outskirts.
- The Academy has offered to self-finance the project, estimating tens of millions of euros in construction costs based on comparisons to the Eiffel Tower.
- Plans call for panoramic viewpoints in the bull’s horns and a base equipped with restaurants and retail spaces tied to bullfighting heritage.
- Other municipalities in Castilla y León, including Ciudad Rodrigo, Toro and Benavente, have also shown interest in hosting the landmark.
