Volvo ES90 to Feature 800V System for Faster Charging and 435-Mile Range

The flagship electric sedan will debut on March 5 with advanced technology, including NVIDIA-powered computing and a new battery management system.

The Volvo ES90 is set to achieve a driving range of up to 435 miles (700 km) on the WLTP cycle, the longest of any Volvo EV to date.
Its 800-volt architecture enables charging from 10% to 80% in just 20 minutes, with peak charging speeds of up to 350 kW.
The sedan incorporates dual NVIDIA Drive AGX Orin computers, providing 508 trillion operations per second for advanced safety and driving assistance features.
New in-house-developed battery management software improves charging efficiency and reduces heat generation during fast charging.
Sustainability features include the use of recycled materials in its construction and a blockchain-based battery passport for tracking raw materials.
