Volunteer Divers Believe to Have Found Missing Woman's Remains in Submerged Vehicle

The discovery near Disney World may solve a 12-year-old missing person case, pending confirmation from the medical examiner’s office.

Sandra Lemire, who disappeared nearly 12 years ago, is believed to have been found in a submerged vehicle near Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida.
The discovery was made by a group of volunteer divers from Sunshine State Sonar who had been searching for Lemire in 63 bodies of water over the last year and a half.
Lemire's vehicle was found in a small retention pond at the Disney World exit on Interstate 4 in Kissimmee.
The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the crash and the medical examiner’s office in Orlando still needs to confirm the identity of the remains.
Lemire's son, Timothy Lemire, expressed gratitude towards Sunshine State Sonar for their efforts in solving the case.
