Volkswagen Relaunches Mexico-Built Taos in Argentina With Tech Upgrade and New 8-Speed

Prices are set for three trims as the compact SUV targets sustained leadership in a crowded segment.

  • The refreshed Taos is now imported from Puebla and goes on sale in Comfortline, Highline and Highline Bitono grades priced at ARS 54,200,000, ARS 61,700,000 and ARS 62,500,000.
  • All versions keep the 1.4 TSI turbo with 150 CV and 250 Nm, now paired with a new 8‑speed Tiptronic automatic for improved efficiency.
  • Cabin upgrades include a 10-inch VW Play Connect screen, a 10.25-inch digital cluster, Mi VW Connect, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and ventilated wireless charging.
  • Higher trims add IQ Light headlights and an expanded ADAS suite with Front Assist, adaptive cruise control, Lane and Travel Assist, blind‑spot monitoring, rear cross‑traffic alert and Emergency Assist.
  • Volkswagen offers a 3‑year/100,000 km warranty with the first service bonified and fixed‑price maintenance plans, plus 0% financing over 24 months, as the model remains a top seller with 15,570 registrations from January to October.
