The beloved matriarch of hip-hop was remembered by family, friends, and music icons at the same funeral chapel where her son was memorialized 28 years ago.

Voletta Wallace, mother of the Notorious B.I.G., passed away on February 21 at age 78 in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, from natural causes.
The funeral was held at Frank E. Campbell Funeral Chapel in Manhattan, the same location as her son’s 1997 service, with a viewing open to the public the evening prior.
Attendees included Biggie’s exes Faith Evans and Lil’ Kim, his children C.J. and T’yanna Wallace, Jay-Z’s mother Gloria Carter, and Diddy’s son Christian Combs.
Voletta Wallace was celebrated for preserving her son’s legacy, managing his multimillion-dollar estate, and founding the Christopher Wallace Memorial Foundation.
The service featured a casket adorned with pink and white flowers, family photos, and tributes from loved ones, who described her as a mother figure and a pillar of the hip-hop community.
