• The new route began July 4 with departures from Morelia at 9 am and returns from San Antonio at 7 pm on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays to serve business, shopping and family travelers.
• This is Volaris’s fourth direct connection between San Antonio and Mexico, joining existing flights from Mexico City, Guadalajara and San Luis Potosí.
• Michoacán tourism leaders have held promotional events in Morelia and engaged US consulates in Dallas, Houston and San Antonio to boost awareness and bookings.
• San Antonio International Airport is investing $2.5 billion in a new Terminal C scheduled to open in 2028 to accommodate growing passenger traffic from Mexico.
• More than two million Mexicans visit San Antonio each year for its UNESCO missions, River Walk, theme parks and culinary scene, with one-way fares from Morelia starting at 1,514 MXN.
