- The disruption began shortly before 3pm BST on Monday, with Downdetector recording more than 130,000 problem reports across major cities including London, Manchester, Birmingham, Glasgow and Cardiff.
- Most complaints related to home broadband, with 4G and 5G also affected, and customers of providers using Vodafone’s network such as Voxi and Lebara reporting issues.
- Vodafone’s app, website and customer helpline were unavailable during parts of the incident, according to media tests and user reports.
- Network monitors including NetBlocks described a national-scale outage, while 2G voice calls and SMS were reported to remain available as recovery advanced.
- Vodafone says the network has fully recovered, though some residual local reports persisted into Tuesday morning and customers continued to ask about compensation.
