Overview

• Vi activated 5G services in nine additional cities—Malappuram, Kozhikode, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Nashik, Ahmedabad, Rajkot, Surat, Vadodara and soon Meerut—raising its total live network to 18 cities.
• The operator’s introductory unlimited 5G prepaid plan at ₹299 positions it as the only Indian network offering unlimited 5G data across all its plans.
• Infrastructure partnerships with Nokia and Ericsson have enabled deployment of AI-driven Self-Organising Networks to optimise performance across its expanding footprint.
• Recent 4G upgrades in Gujarat, Maharashtra, Kerala and Uttar Pradesh have strengthened coverage and backhaul capacity to support the growing 5G service.
• Vi has committed to rolling out 5G in 23 more cities by the end of 2025 as it intensifies efforts to narrow the gap with Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel.
