  • The show runs from November 9, 2025 to August 16, 2026 in the vast Gebläsehalle at the UNESCO-listed industrial site.
  • Curated by Ralf Beil, the exhibition assembles 79 contributors from 27 countries across 18 chapters to demonstrate that X-rays extend far beyond medicine.
  • Monumental displays include the eROSITA X-ray telescope, Nick Veasey’s backlit helicopter work “The Fly Away,” a ten-meter panorama by Arie van ’t Riet, and a seven-meter monument by Andreas Greiner.
  • Interactive stations let visitors illuminate the “Gläserne Mann” at the push of a button and use touchscreens to reveal hidden layers behind images.
  • A site-specific memorial by Christoph Brech titled “Odem” uses lung X-rays from local SHG clinics to honor blast-furnace workers affected by polluted air.
