Viva Raw Recalls Two Pet Food Lots Nationwide Over Salmonella, Listeria Risk

Routine state testing by North Carolina agriculture officials prompted the recall.

Overview

  • The recall covers Lot 21495 and Lot 21975 across six beef and chicken products for dogs, puppies and cats.
  • Impacted items were sold as frozen 1-pound bricks in clear vacuum packaging with the lot number printed on top.
  • Products were distributed directly to consumers nationwide from July 2 to Aug. 21 and to select retailers in AZ, CA, FL, IL, KS, NY and SC.
  • Potential contamination was identified through routine North Carolina Department of Agriculture testing, and no related illnesses have been reported.
  • Consumers are advised to discard the food securely, sanitize bowls and storage containers, and request refunds via [email protected] or (919) 371-8882.
