• On Saturday around 5 p.m., a young child who had separated from his parents was found walking alone on Hersheypark’s elevated monorail track and was reunited with family by about 5:30 p.m.
• ABC7 reported the child remained in the station for roughly 20 minutes before stepping onto the track at an estimated height of about 30 meters.
• A visitor climbed a nearby structure and jumped onto the track to lift the child to safety, a moment captured on video by onlookers.
• Hersheypark said the monorail section was out of service and restricted at the time and issued a statement thanking guests and staff for their quick response.
