Overview
- Marvel confirmed VisionQuest will arrive on Disney+ on October 14, 2026, as final promotion is being prepared ahead of the launch.
- The show follows White Vision living in Scotland who by day works in a pub and by night enters a digital 'mind palace' where he confronts embedded AIs, including Ultron.
- Ultron returns as an incorporeal intelligence trapped inside Vision's mind and will be portrayed largely in a human-avatar form by James Spader to allow more emotive performances.
- Showrunner Terry Matalas — who replaced Jac Schaeffer — says he had wide creative latitude from Marvel leadership to shape the series as a drama-adventure with mystery, surreal, and comic beats.
- Tommy Shepard (played by Ruaridh Mollica) appears in the series but the actor says Tommy's comic-book bisexuality may not be made explicit on screen, a choice that could affect representation and future storylines.
