Virginia Running Back Perris Jones Discharged from Rehabilitation Center

Jones to Continue Recovery in Charlottesville After Spinal Injury

Perris Jones, the Virginia running back who suffered a spinal cord injury during a game three weeks ago, has been discharged from a Louisville rehabilitation center.
Jones was injured on a helmet-to-helmet hit after catching a pass in the Nov. 9 game against Louisville and underwent spinal surgery the next day.
Jones thanked doctors, aides, therapists, Louisville and Virginia communities, coaches and teammates for their support as he pushed to recover.
Jones was walking without difficulty on Tuesday and was seen in videos released by the hospital doing agility exercises.
Jones will return to Charlottesville to continue his rehab.
