Virgin Galactic Gears Up for First Commercial Space Flight Later This Month

Virgin Galactic will begin monthly commercial flights to the edge of space for ticket-holders in August.
A research flight with the Italian Air Force and the National Research Centre of Italy will take place at the end of June.
The first commercial spaceflight, Galactic 01, will launch between June 27th and June 30th, carrying three people from Italy's Air Force and National Research Council as they conduct microgravity research.
Follow-up flights, including Galactic 02 with a private crew, are already scheduled, and Virgin plans to fly on a monthly basis afterward.
The cost of a ticket for Virgin Galactic's commercial spaceflight is $450,000.
