- Embraer handed over the aircraft on September 2 at São José dos Campos, registering it VH-E2A as the airframer’s 1,900th E‑Jet.
- The jet is the first of eight delivered via lessor Azorra from its firm orderbook with Embraer.
- It becomes the first E190-E2 to be operated by a major airline group in Australia.
- Configured for 100 seats, the type will be based in Perth to progressively replace Virgin Australia Regional Airlines’ Fokker 100s.
- Named Coral Bay and powered by Pratt & Whitney GTF engines, the aircraft is slated to enter service by October 2025 with up to 30% fuel savings claimed by Embraer and at least three more deliveries expected later in 2025 and into 2026.
