Violent Clashes Erupt in Bolivia Amid Morales' Protest March

Thousands of anti-government demonstrators supporting Evo Morales clashed with pro-Arce counterprotesters during a march from Caracollo to La Paz.
The march, initially peaceful, turned violent when counterprotesters armed with tear gas bombs and stones blocked the highway.
Morales, who plans to run in the 2025 election despite a court ruling disqualifying him, organized the march to protest economic mismanagement and demand his candidacy be accepted.
The confrontation resulted in multiple injuries, including three police officers, and deepened the rift within Bolivia's ruling socialist party.
President Arce accused Morales of attempting a coup, while Morales claimed the government sent plainclothes police to incite violence.
