Violence Continues Into Fourth Night in Northern Ireland With Racially Motivated Attacks

Authorities have called in Scottish officers to bolster policing in affected areas

Overview

  • The unrest began after two 14-year-olds were arrested in Ballymena over an alleged sexual assault and has spread to Larne, Portadown, Coleraine, Newtownabbey and Belfast

  • PSNI Chief Constable Jon Boutcher vowed to identify and prosecute those responsible as political leaders across Stormont condemned the violence
