The film, co-produced by Davis and her husband Julius Tennon through JuVee Productions, has been in development since 2016.
At the Los Angeles premiere on March 27, Davis reflected on the empowering and physical nature of her role, which included choreographed fight scenes and creative combat techniques.
The movie focuses on themes of family and survival, intentionally avoiding overt political commentary to present a universal narrative.
'G20' will be available for global streaming on Amazon Prime Video starting April 10, 2025.
