• Prices for the VF6 and VF7 will be announced on September 6, confirming VinFast’s first model launches in the country.
• Both models are assembled at VinFast’s Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu plant, where the VF7 was the first vehicle produced and annual capacity is 50,000 units with scope to scale to 1.5 lakh.
• The VF6 uses a 59.6kWh battery and a 204hp front motor, with a WLTP-rated range of 480km.
• The VF7 carries a 70.8kWh pack with 204hp FWD or 350hp/500Nm AWD options, delivering WLTP ranges of 450km (FWD) and 431km (AWD).
• Pre-bookings opened on July 15 for Rs 21,000, and Autocar India estimates on-road prices at roughly Rs 20–25 lakh for the VF6 and Rs 25–30 lakh for the VF7, with a dealer network targeted to reach 35 outlets by year-end.
