VinFast Raises India Prices for VF6 and VF7

The company says the changes reflect a move away from introductory pricing as it grows its model range, retail footprint and charging network.

Overview

  • VinFast has implemented immediate price increases for its India SUVs, raising the VF6 by Rs 90,000 across all variants and the VF7 by about Rs 1.10–1.13 lakh depending on the variant.
  • The VF6 now lists between Rs 18.19 lakh and Rs 20.09 lakh ex-showroom, and this is the model’s second price rise since its launch last year.
  • The VF7’s revised range is Rs 22.99 lakh to Rs 28.09 lakh ex-showroom, with its higher-spec Sky and Sky Infinity variants offering dual motors, roughly 349 bhp and an ARAI-claimed range of up to about 510 km.
  • Buyers who have not yet booked will face the new prices immediately, narrowing VinFast’s price gap with rivals such as Hyundai, Tata, Mahindra and MG and raising the bar for the brand to prove value through features and dealer support.
  • VinFast is expanding in India beyond these two SUVs — it sells the VF MPV7 locally and has been spotted testing the smaller VF5, which suggests further lineup growth that could affect pricing and competition going forward.
