Overview

  • The crash occurred around 9 AM on July 24 when McMahon’s northbound Bentley rammed into a BMW on Route 15 in Westport
  • Debris from the initial collision struck and disabled a southbound Ford Fusion after breaching the median wooden-beam guardrail
  • Officials confirmed all drivers were wearing seatbelts and that airbags deployed in both the Bentley and the BMW
  • No injuries were reported but the three vehicles and roughly 30 feet of guardrail sustained significant damage and required towing
  • Westport police issued McMahon a misdemeanor summons for reckless driving and following too closely with his court appearance set for late next month
