Vikings Offensive Coordinator Wes Phillips Arrested for Drunken Driving
Despite the arrest, Phillips will still travel with the team for their game against the Raiders.
- Minnesota Vikings offensive coordinator Wes Phillips was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving after being stopped for speeding on a Minneapolis interstate highway.
- Phillips, 44, was driving a Tesla Model S and his blood alcohol content registered at 0.10%, above the legal limit in Minnesota of 0.08%.
- Despite the arrest, the Vikings said Phillips will travel with the team to Las Vegas for a game against the Raiders.
- Phillips was released after posting a $300 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 21.
- Phillips is in his second season with the Vikings and has been an NFL assistant for 17 seasons.
