Vigo Launches New Chamber Festival as Orquestra Clásica Details 2025/26 Season

The city’s orchestras align programming to mix canonical works with research-driven explorations of how music is heard.

  • Orquestra Vigo 430 opens the Sinerxias 430 chamber festival on September 20, running through November 9 with six themed concerts and a free first night at the concatedral.

  • Orquestra Clásica de Vigo confirms an eight-concert 2025/26 season from October 24 to May 16 across Vigo venues, opening with Beethoven featuring pianist Severino Ortiz in Piano Concerto No. 3 paired with Symphony No. 5.
  • A December 29 Christmas program marks Ravel’s 150th with Aida Saco Beiroa in the G major Piano Concerto, followed by a January 3 benefit and a February 28 live film-scoring event at Teatro Salesianos.
  • The season’s sound-history focus includes a March 21 Stroh-violin concert at MARCO with researcher Aleksander Kolkowski plus the As pegadas do son conferences and an exhibition, and it closes May 16 with Mozart’s Requiem with Ensemble Vocal Pro Música of Porto at Teatro Afundación.
