Overview

  • The Concello de Vigo has approved 21 Hogueras de San Xoán and five non-bonfire gatherings, including four sardine feasts and a chorizo barbecue, for the night of June 23–24.
  • Celebrations will take place across nearly all of Vigo’s parishes—from Valladares and Matamá to Casco Vello and Bembrive—and some groups are holding events on adjacent weekends.
  • In Alcabre, the Asociación de Veciños Nosa Terra de Alcabre will kick off its beach-adjacent program on June 23 with performances by Ghandainas, SkaraJazz, Batucada Bate no Cobre and DJ Fran González alongside grilled sardines and chorizos.
  • Alicante’s Hogueras de San Juan run from June 18 to 24, opening with the first mascletà at Plaza de los Luceros and closing with the cremà of monuments in the early hours of June 24.
  • À Punt will provide live coverage of each daily mascletà at 13:00 and broadcast official ceremonies and fireworks competitions throughout the week.
