Vigil Held for Couple Killed in West Dublin Hit-and-Run

Anthony Hogg and Georgina Hogg Moore were fatally struck on Blanchardstown Road North; a man remains in custody as investigations continue.

A vigil with over 50 attendees was held to honor Anthony Hogg, 40, and Georgina Hogg Moore, 39, who died in a hit-and-run incident in west Dublin.
The collision occurred on Thursday evening, December 26, 2024, involving four pedestrians, though no other injuries were reported.
Georgina Hogg Moore was pronounced dead at the scene, while Anthony Hogg succumbed to injuries later in the hospital.
A man in his 40s has been arrested and is being detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 as part of the ongoing investigation.
Gardai are appealing for witnesses and requesting any road users with camera footage from the area between 5pm and 6pm on the day of the incident to come forward.
