Vietnam Investigates Blackpink Promoter Over Disputed South China Sea

Vietnam is inspecting the website of K-pop group Blackpink's tour organizer due to criticism from fans about a map of the South China Sea with disputed boundaries.
The website showed a vague nine-dash line encompassing the South China Sea, which Vietnam and China have overlapping territorial claims on.
Vietnam's Culture Ministry ordered the inspection to investigate the promotion of the "cow-tongue line" by the Blackpink concert organizer.
Blackpink is the latest to face trouble in Vietnam for depicting China's nine-dash line, which was rejected in a 2016 international arbitration ruling.
Vietnam's Culture Ministry is conducting the probe to verify the suspicion.
