Vienna to Host 70th Eurovision at Wiener Stadthalle in May 2026

Organizers cite Vienna’s capacity and logistics as the decisive factors.

Overview

  • Semi-finals are scheduled for May 12 and 14, with the Grand Final on May 16, after Austria secured hosting through JJ’s 2025 win.
  • ORF chose Vienna over Innsbruck following a unanimous jury assessment centered on infrastructure, transport links and economic viability.
  • The contest will be staged at the 16,000-seat Wiener Stadthalle, Austria’s largest indoor arena, which previously hosted in 2015.
