Overview

• Testifying as a prosecution witness, Vidhie denied giving formal statements to Khar police or the CBI and called the chargesheeted statements in her name forged and fabricated.
• She told the court she was asked to sign blank papers and email printouts during the probe and said Mukerjea family members accompanied and fed information to investigators.
• Vidhie alleged Peter Mukerjea’s sons Rahul and Rabin siphoned ancestral jewellery and over Rs 7 crore after Indrani’s 2015 arrest, claiming this left Indrani without funds and provided a motive to implicate her.
• On Day 2, she said Indrani and Sanjeev Khanna were in Mumbai in April 2012 to discuss her schooling, and she testified that Rahul later told her he picked Sheena up the night of April 24.
• She identified a female voice on an April 26, 2012 audio clip as Sheena’s, disowned her 2021 book, described family pressure and inheritance changes, and her deposition continues in the special CBI court.
