• Naik was traveling from Navi Mumbai to Palghar for a District Planning Committee meeting, where he serves as the district’s guardian minister.
• According to officials, the convoy was stuck between the Versova and Khanivda toll plazas, after which Naik used the Virar–Safale Ro-Ro boat service to continue to the meeting.
