• CATS released edited surveillance video showing the moments before and after the Aug. 22 stabbing of 23-year-old Iryna Zarutska on the Lynx Blue Line.
• Police identified the suspect as 34-year-old Decarlos Brown Jr., who exited at the next stop, received treatment for a hand injury, and was later charged with first-degree murder.
• CMPD has not identified a motive; Brown remains in custody as the investigation continues.
• Transit safety is under scrutiny after reports that security guards were in a different rail car and police arrived about six minutes after the attack.
