• Investigators say the 56-year-old suspect, known as Desmond Filby and also as Dezi Freeman, fled into nearby bushland and is believed to be heavily armed and skilled at surviving outdoors.
• More than 450 officers with helicopters, armored vehicles, dog units and drones are searching the area, and residents have been urged to stay indoors and avoid offering rides.
• Police confirm a third officer was seriously injured during the shooting as officers moved to execute a warrant at the suspect’s property near Porepunkah.
