- Applications opened on August 25, with successful electronic claims expected to be paid within 2–3 weeks and cheque payments within 4–6 weeks.
- Eligibility requires a valid concession card and a recent residential electricity bill, with accepted cards including Health Care, Pensioner Concession, Veterans’ Affairs Pensioner Concession and Veterans’ Affairs Gold cards.
- Only one payment is available per household, including homes with multiple concession cardholders.
- Victorians can apply via the Victorian Energy Compare website, seek phone assistance on 1800 000 832, and access in-person help at more than 230 neighbourhood houses.
- Renters, retirement village residents and caravan park residents qualify if their energy account matches the property address, while off-grid households without a residential energy account are ineligible.
