  • Mboko overcame a first-set deficit to beat four-time Grand Slam champion Naomi Osaka 2-6, 6-4, 6-1 in the National Bank Open final
  • En route to her title she defeated four Grand Slam winners, including Coco Gauff, Elena Rybakina, Sofia Kenin and Osaka, making her the second-youngest player in the Open Era to beat four major champions in one tournament
  • Her victory marked only the third time a Canadian has won a WTA 1000 event on home soil in the Open Era, following Faye Urban in 1969 and Bianca Andreescu in 2019
