Overview

  • Around 1,300 drivers at CDC Victoria and Dysons will walk off the job from 3 am on Wednesday for a 24-hour stoppage.
  • CDC Victoria will cancel all metropolitan and regional services for the day, while Dysons plans to run a limited Saturday timetable and cancel key routes.
  • The TWU is seeking a 21% pay rise for CDC drivers and 15% for Dysons staff under a three-year agreement after rejecting a 9% offer from Dysons.
  • Nearly a third of bus routes across the state will be affected, disrupting services in Ballarat, Geelong, Mildura and suburbs in Melbourne’s north and west.
  • Public Transport Victoria has urged commuters to plan alternative travel arrangements and the Department of Transport says normal schedules should resume on Thursday, May 29.
