Overview

• On July 19 around 9:30 p.m., officers found an unnamed man shot outside a residence on the 6500 block of Thalia Way who was pronounced dead at the scene.
• Citrus Heights Police Department joined Sacramento County deputies and Folsom officers to search two homes during the manhunt.
• Investigators located 55-year-old Victor Bubliyenko near San Juan and Sunset avenues at about 1 p.m. Sunday and took him into custody.
• Officials say Bubliyenko and the victim were known to each other, and investigators are probing their relationship for a motive.
• This marks the second homicide in Citrus Heights this year, and authorities have withheld the victim’s identity while the active investigation continues.
