Victim’s mother won’t attend trial of alleged killer of four University of Idaho students, focuses on legacy instead

The mother of Ethan Chapin, one of four University of Idaho students killed in November, will not attend the accused killer's trial.
Instead, Stacy Chapin is honoring her son's memory through the "Ethan's Smile" foundation and a children's book called "The Boy Who Wore Blue."
Ethan was remembered as someone who touched many lives through his kindness and inclusiveness.
Bryan Kohberger pleaded not guilty to four counts of first-degree murder and burglary in the stabbing deaths of the four students.
Kohberger's trial is set to begin in October, and prosecutors have until late July to decide if they will pursue the death penalty.
