Victims Identified in Fatal Half Moon Bay Plane Crash

Investigation continues as bodies of two victims remain missing after single-engine plane crashes into ocean.

  • Isaac Zimmern, 27, and his partner Emma “Pearl” Willmer-Shiles, also 27, were identified as two of the four victims in a plane crash near Half Moon Bay, California.
  • The crash occurred on January 14, when a single-engine, four-seater Cozy MK IV plane crashed into the ocean.
  • Willmer-Shiles' body was found by a commercial fishing crew the morning after the crash, but Zimmern's body and those of the two other occupants have not been found.
  • The plane was reportedly seen flying erratically before the engine sputtered out and it fell out of sight.
  • The National Transportation Safety Board is leading the investigation into the crash.
