Overview
- Cook County officials identified those killed Thursday night as Deandre Russell, 38, Nurrie Foy, 28, and Tia Bell, 27.
- The first attack occurred around 10:09 p.m. on the 300 block of South Maplewood Avenue, where two men were shot while standing outside and later died at hospitals.
- Less than an hour later, gunfire on the 3900 block of West Gladys Avenue fatally struck Bell and wounded a 26-year-old man in fair condition.
- Police later said a third victim from the Gladys shooting, another 26-year-old man, arrived at a hospital with a graze wound.
- A separate Friday night shooting outside Franklin Food and Liquor on North Kedzie Avenue followed an argument and injured two men, ages 45 and 48; Area Four and Area Three detectives are investigating the incidents, and no arrests have been announced.
