Overview

• Radhakrishnan reached Gannavaram Airport by special IAF flight and was received by Governor S Abdul Nazeer and Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, following a guard of honour.
• He offered prayers at the Kanaka Durga temple, where priests performed Purna Kumbha rituals and presented prasadam and a portrait of the deity.
• The Vice President attended the Vijayawada Utsav at Punnami Ghat, praising Andhra Pradesh’s progress and describing Vijayawada as a rising urban center.
• Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat and state leaders joined the event as Radhakrishnan highlighted Telugu cultural heritage during the Dasara festivities.
• According to the schedule, he will proceed to Tirupati, take part in darshan and seva at Tirumala with an overnight halt, and continue programmes on Thursday before returning to New Delhi with his spouse, Sumathi.
