Overview

• Large Scale Exercise 2025 has brought together U.S. Navy and Marine Corps forces from six component commands and seven numbered fleets operating across 22 time zones since July 30.
• Adm. Jim Kilby toured key operations in Norfolk, Virginia, on August 5 to assess how the exercise enhances force integration and capabilities.
• Participants are testing alternative warfare concepts across land, sea, air, space and cyberspace to sharpen global operational synchronization.
• Building on lessons from past Fleet Battle Problems, LSE 2025 is designed to boost fleet readiness and prepare sailors and marines for high-end maritime conflict.
• Findings from the exercise will guide the planning and design of future large-scale training events to strengthen joint agility and decisive action.
