  • Police established large cordons toward Ashley Park and evacuated about 100 homes, with the operation resolving around midnight.
  • Ammunition Technical Officers examined the item, identified it as a viable pipe bomb, and rendered it safe before removal.
  • The PSNI dog unit attended and officers thanked residents who were displaced for much of the day for their cooperation.
