Veteran Tamil Actor Delhi Ganesh Passes Away at 80

The celebrated actor, known for his versatile roles in over 400 films, was cremated with Air Force honors following his death from age-related ailments.

Delhi Ganesh, a beloved figure in Tamil cinema, died on November 9 at his home in Chennai, confirmed by his family.
His career began in 1976 with the film Pattina Pravesam and spanned over four decades, featuring in notable films like Nayakan and Michael Madana Kama Rajan.
Ganesh was honored with the Tamil Nadu State Film Award Special Prize for Pasi (1979) and the Kalaimamani award in 1994.
A former Indian Air Force officer, his funeral in Chennai included honors from the Air Force, reflecting his service prior to his acting career.
Tributes poured in from across the film industry and politics, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and actors Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan.
