- King Ultramega released its cover of Soundgarden’s “Rusty Cage” on July 18 as its first official recording.
- Founder Mark Menghi says the project grew out of a pandemic-era recording session that expanded once Soundgarden guitarist Kim Thayil joined.
- Future installments will feature contributions from Kim Thayil, Arch Enemy’s Alissa White-Gluz, guitarist Joe Satriani and drummer Kenny Aronoff.
